How to File an Effective Report
A strong report gets faster action. Here's how to do it right.
Before you file a report on TEND, ensure the issue is related to public, physical infrastructure. TEND is designed to hold the government accountable for the physical realities of our cities and towns. It is not for reporting personal disputes, private property issues, or emergency crimes. Provide clear evidence and accurate data to ensure your report bypasses manual review and goes straight to the responsible agency's SLA queue.

Severity — Be Honest
Critical
Immediate threat to life or property. Complete failure of critical infrastructure (e.g., collapsed bridge, live power line on road).
High
Severe disruption of daily life for a large community, but not immediately lethal (e.g., exploded neighborhood transformer, impassable major road).
Medium
Significant inconvenience that needs attention but is currently bypassed (e.g., deep potholes, blocked neighborhood drainage).
Low
Minor damage or aesthetic deterioration that will worsen over time (e.g., broken street signs, dead streetlights in a non-critical area).
Location Tips
Drop the map pin exactly exactly where the infrastructure is located. Do not drop the pin at your house if you are reporting a pothole down the street. If possible, list nearby landmarks in your description.
Description Tips
Focus on facts. State how long the issue has persisted and its current impact on the community. Do not rant or include personal insults toward government officials; such reports are subject to removal.
